Organic wine is half polluter ...

Organic wine is 50% less polluting than the wine obtained by conventional production system.

A case study was carried out for two companies producing wine, one through organic methods and the other by conventional ones.

The result of the study shows that organic wine made from grapes grown with natural methods and processed by hand, has half “ecological footprint” compared to the ecological footprint of the other; the ecological footprint is a measure used to determine the impact of a certain human productive activitiy on the environment.

In the case study mentioned the ecological footprint for organic wine was of 7.17 square meters against 13.99 square meters for “classic” wine.
